Goals

The goal of our Chapter is to provide advocacy, information and referral in order to help the parents and the professionals grow in their roles, as they become more knowledgeable in those factors that affect behavior and communication in the children they care and provide for.

We do not dictate. Parents are with their children for a lifetime; our efforts are aimed at helping parents/families become as proficient as possible in evaluating and choosing the services, approaches, treatments and therapies that will enhance an autistic child's growth/development.

By functioning as a catalyst, and providing the very latest information on autism, we help parents grow in their ability to handle the tasks ahead. Further, if a parent or sibling or other autism-involved person needs someone to talk to, it can be us, or someone we suggest.
